Wow! Back again on LJ. And dahil kailangan ko ng outlet sa mga bagay-bagay in general, let's do this again!

So for my comeback topic (naks!)... travel! My non-fandom friends always tell na dapat daw mag put up na ako ng travel blog. I think magandang ideya naman yun. Thing is bukod sa tamad ako mag sulat, my travels are mostly fangirl related. So kalahati fangirl, kalahit gala. Pero ang maganda dun, the gala part of my trip is usually very cheap (kasi lahat ng budget napunta ma dun sa fangirl part! Hahaha). So that, I can share with you 😊

So we are planning on a tipid trip, ano ba dapat ang mga kailangan i-consider.

Kadalasang factor dito? Long weekend at seat sale. Hehehe! Mas maganda sana kung magtugma yung dalawa diba? But airline companies usually allocates less sale seats pag long weekend so it will all boils down sa pagalingan maghanap ng dates and promos.

Tip 1: Airlines, like Cebu Pacific announces seat sales 2 days or a day before a holiday (like before June 12 or November). Meron din naman, like AirAsia, nauuna ang sales sa members lang nila, then after several days, so open to the public na. So make sure to make an account.

Tip 3: If flexible naman ikaw sa dates, say okay lang kahit kailan mag byahe, take time to consider kung high or low season sya sa destination countries. Like end of March to early April in Japan, this is cherry blossom season. July-August in Seoul is summer sale and festival season. First week of October in China is like their Independence week, so week long holiday. So what does this mean? Ibig sabihin, mahal ang airfare, hotels and madami kang kaagaw mag picture. Pero if eto din mismo ang sadya mo, manageable naman the expenses, if you book way in advance.

2. Saan mo gusto mag stay?
I rarely stay in hotels. Nakaka pag stay lang ako sa hotel pag dun din naka check in ang pinafangirl ko (see, fangirl pa din!) It's usually backpackers or hostels or 3 stard chain hotels for me.

These places may cost a little more than those sa mas lakarin, but I think it's worth it naman. Dahil at the end of a long lakaran day, wala ng mas sasaya pa sa paglabas mo ng train station, hostel mo na! Hehe.

Tip 2: If di ka naman maselan at hindi particular sa iyong personal space, dorms and even private rooms with shared bathrooms are way cheaper than rooms with ensuite baths. Di ko pa na try ang mixed dorm, but I've stayed in an all girls room. Comfy naman sya and my room mates are friendly. Also, I suggest booking these kind of accomodations during winter. Kasi most of them naliligo at night. So solo ko ang shower :)

Tip 3: Airbnb! For groups of 4 or more. You can choose yung mga apartment type accomodations. May kitchen sya usually (so you can cook) and spare bathrooms para di kayo nag uunahan. Just take note that most of them have strict cancellations, so make sure na yun na talaga yung optimal  (naks, big word) choice mo before booking.

3. Anong gusto mong ganap?
Gusto mo ba mag shopping? Mag sight seeing? Kumain?

Ibig sabihin lang, save other sights for the next trip. I prioritize lang yung mga gustong gusto mo talaga. Say, you go to Hongkong, di naman kailangan punta ka ng Disneyland at punta ka ng Ocean Park. Pareho silang theme park, so bukod sa kailangan mo ng tig one day para malibot sila (na sana pinunta mo sa ibang lugar na gusto) medyo mabigat sya sa bulsa at nakakapagod. Di naman aalis yan, and at least you have a reason to go back.

Tip 2: If you want shopping, my top pick is Bangkok and Ho Chi Min. Super mura lalo na if magaling ka makipagtawaran. For stuff naman na may brands Hongkong or China.

Tip 3: Sa mga gusto kumain lang pero mura, streets of Taipei and Seoul. Lalo na for streetfood! (Ximending and Shillin in Taipei and Myeongdong and Namdaemun in Seoul are my personal fave).

Some other points to remember!

Tip 1: Choose a country with a good transpo system. Like trains and buses. Yung makakadating ka sa hotel easily without getting lost or ripped off ng mapagsamantalang taxi driver. For me Hongkong ang pinaka first timer friendly.

Tip 2: Choose a country that speaks a langauage you know. 😛 Top country in mind, Singapore. (Bonus pa na one of the safest sila)

Tip 3: Choose a country na mababa ang ekonomiya (seryoso yan!) After the Japan tsunami, mababa economy nila and since they need to attract tourists so low ang travel cost. At! Exchange lang enough to go the city. Tapos dun na maghanap ng money changer. Better yet, dito na mag pa change if currency is available.

Oh ayan, I hope that gives you an idea on how to plan a tipid trip :) I'll show you a complete sample itinerary next time kasi ang haba na nito. Hope this helps! Have a great week ahead!

So saan na ang next destination mo? :)

I've been meaning to write this for a while (for research and future reference). Kaso sabi ko, gagawin ko na lang sya pag nakapag Olympic Stadium na ako (the Mecca of Kpop Concerts!). So  2 months after I came back from Seoul... tadddaaa! Naisipan ko din syang tapusin, Hahaha!

Venue is always a consideration when youre watching a concert abroad. Madali ba sya puntahan? Okay ba yung seatplan? Venue will be a big factor on your overall concert experience so dapat, mapapagisipan mo sya mabuti. So  to give you an overview and help you (hopefully) decide kung saan mo gusto manood, I've list down several concert venues in Asia, you could choose from. :)

HONGKONG

1.Hongkong Coliseum
Hongkong Coliseum

Location: Hung Hom, Kowloon
Seating Capacity:  12,500 seats
How to get there: Located next to Hung Hum train station.

Only Chinese/Taiwanese/Cantonse acts uses this so Kpop fans may be unfamiliar with this venue. But if you follow Mando pop, most likely they will have one of their concerts here.
Tip: If you want to catch a glimpse of your favorite artists before they leave the venue, you should go to the yellow gate, right after the concerts. Chances are, makikita nyo silang lalabas, at sasakay sa sasakyan nila.

2.Asia World Expo Arena
Asia World expo arena

Location:  Lantau Island (next to HKIA)
Seating Capacity:  14,000 seating  ; 16,000 seating and standing
How to get there:  One stop from HKIA via airport express.  If you’re coming from Kowloon/Hongkong side, cheapest is to take the bus going straight to the airport then ride the train from there. (or you can catch the free shuttle that goes to and from Marriot Hotel from the airport, then walk from there, as its just beside the arena)

Most of the concerts in Hongkong (local, kpop, western) are held at Asia World Expo nowadays. It would have been an ideal fangirl venue except  ang layo nya sa city proper. Most of us (fangirls) stays in Kowloon, kung nasaan ang shopping and accommodation is cheaper.
Tip: If you have the extra funds to spare, you can stay at the Marriott Hotel just beside the venue. Kadalasan kasi dito nag che-check in ang mga artists na nag co-concert sa Asia World. And swerte mo if mahilig mag gym ang bias mo, dahil naka 3 sides glass panel ang gym ng Marriott. Also, if your bias group is leaving right after the concert, you can use the shuttle of the hotel going to the airport for free. Mabilis na, libre pa ;)

MALAYSIA

1.Putra Indoor Stadium
Putra Indoor Stadium

Location:  Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur (located within the National Sports Complex)
Seating Capacity:  16, 000
How to get there:  Via LRT (Sri Petaling Line), nearest station is Bukit Jalil Station. From there you can just walk going to the complex

This venue is quite far from the city and maybe a little hard to reach. But the inside is nice and the rectangular shape of the building makes the venue very flexible. One thing I like about it, ang daming local street food sa paligid! :) And since Malaysia has a very diverse culture, ang sasarap ng food nila. Malay, Chinese, Indian, name it :)

2.Stadium Merdeka
Stadium Merdaka fin
Location:  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Seating Capacity:  25,000
How to get there:  You can use KL Monorail and get off at Maharajalela station.

Huge outdoor venue. Malaysian national events are usually held here. One venue that I don't highly recommend. If okay lang sayo mag pit then I think its fine. But if you're the "sit-down and watch" kind of person, medyo malayo na sya.

SINGAPORE

1.Singapore Indoor Stadium
Singapore Indoor
Location:  Kallang, Singapore
Seating Capacity:  12,000
How to get there:  Stadium Station (CC6) of the MRT- Orange line (Circle Line Extension)

For me, its one of the most convenient and fangirl friendly concert venue. Its has its own train station, its within the city proper and its a little smaller (nearer stage) compared to the other concert venues. Also, madaming flights going to Singapore from Manila, so its perfect for those weekend concert getaways :)

THAILAND

1.Impact Arena (Muang Thong Thani)
Impact Arena
Location:  Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand
Seating Capacity:  12,000
How to get there:  There are many options going to impact arena, but I think the easiest and tourist fangirl friendly is getting off at  Mo Chit BTS station (where Chatuchak market is) and then riding the Impact link Shuttle Bus going to the complex.

One of my favorite concert venues. It has a lot of stores and restaurants within the area which is a treat compared to others. Its also smaller than the others and rectangular in shape so the stage are can be flexible. Concerts in Bangkok always have this festive feel. Maybe because Kpop is mainstream and fandom is really passionate. If you're into fan merchandise, this is the place to be due to the large number of fansbase in Thailand.
Tip: Artist entrance of Impact arena is on the right side of the venue. So kung nakapila ka sa standing AR or BR sa umaga pa lang, malaki ang chance mo na makita silang dumating.

2.Muang Thong Thani Stadium (SCG/Yamaha Stadium)
Muang Thong Thani
Location: Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand
Seating Capacity:  15,000 seating , 20,000 seating and standing
How to get there:  Same directions as Impact Arena

Being an open space, this venue is seldom used for Kpop concert tours. Ang  gumamit kadalasan nito eh yung mga collab concerts, overseas music shows (ie. Mubank) and ent. comp. concerts (ie.SM Town). But since these shows usually requires bigger audience size they opt to prefer the larger Rajamangala Stadium.
Tip: The weather in Bangkok is very unpredictable. Mainit sa umaga, maulan sa gabi. So if you ever find yourself watching a concert at SCG/Yamaha Stadium, be sure to bring raincoats and extra change of clothes.

TAIWAN

1.Taipei Arena
Taipei Arena
Location: Songshan District, Taipei
Seating Capacity:  15,000
How to get there:  Nearest station is Nanjing/Nanking East Station. (Brown line or the Wenshan-Neihu Line). From there you need to walk to the road adjacent to the MRT Line (Nanjing East Road)  going to the direction of Dunhua Road,  for about 10mins.

Another one of my favorites. Queuing for both merchandise and entry is very fast and convenient. Its also  easy to travel going to and from the venue. All seats have good vantage point. Kahit nasa taas ka okay lang :) Another thing that I like in Taipei are the fan projects. I said once before, the Taiwanese fans make it look so easy! It would be a nice experience to be part of it.

CHINA

1.Mercedes Benz Arena
Mercedes Benz Arena
Location: Expo 2010 grounds, Pudong, Shanghai
Seating Capacity:  18,000
How to get there:  Nearest train station is China Art Museum Station (Metro Line 8 or Blue Line) then 5 minute walk from there.

This venue is love at first sight for me. Such an architectural marvel! She's extra beautiful at night. Since it was built for the world expo, announcements/notices at the arena is in Chinese, Japanese and English so its very convenient for foreign fans. They also have English speaking guards and staff. If you're into chibi, fanmade, lead board and other non-official stuff, you can find those easily is Shanghai (or any China venues actually).
Tip: The venue is near to Intercontinental Shanghai Expo Hotel (walking distance). I know SM artists stays here pag nasa Shanghai sila. So again if you have extra funds, you can consider staying on this hotel.

2.Shanghai International Gymnastics Center
Shanghai Gymnastics
Location: Changning District, Shanghai
Seating Capacity: 4000
How to get there: Nearest train station is Zongshan Park Station (Metro Line 2/Lime green line) then walk back to Wuyi Road (this is a long walk, 10-15mins).

Small venue. Good for fanmeetings and showcases. But its quite a walk from the nearest train station. There are many establishment near the venue, so if you still have time, you can go shopping, eat or even have a foot massage.
Tip: Should you decide to have a foot massage on the nearby spa's, if there is no fix rate written on the lobby, you can haggle the price. (no kidding, true story). Lalo na if its "patay na oras". Not naman Divisoria type haggling, but more like discounts. So use your charm nalang on the receptionist.

3.Hongkou Stadium
hongkou stadium
Location:  Hongkou District, Shanghai
Seating Capacity:  33,060
How to get there:  Metro Line 3 (Yellow) or Metro Line 8 (Blue).  Then get off at Hongkou Football Stadium Station.

This place is huge! With the large number of fangirls in China, this venue is just right for them. Pero para sa travelling fangirl, I wont recommend it. Its an open venue so audio is not exactly that good. Not the best venue in Shanghai, so if you have other options, I recommend you watch somewhere else.

KOREA

1.Olympic Gymnastics Arena
Olympic Stadium

Location: Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul
Seating Capacity:  14, 730
How to get there:  Via MRT- Olympic Park Station (Brown Line)

Homecourt! Where all the Korean concert tour starts. Since it has a circular plan, any seat whether on the second or third floor, has  good vantage point of the stage. Audio is also very good and stage set ups in Seoul is always remarkable. (since they have the advantage of the using their local and trusty suppliers). Artists always give it their best pag nasa homeland sila, so if kaya, i-bucketlist dapat ang makanood sa Olympic Stadium :)

JAPAN

1.Tokyo Dome
Tokyo dome

Location: Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo
Seating Capacity:  55,000
How to get there: Tokyo Dome is within the Entertainment Area called Tokyo Dome City. Since  its quite vast in space (and Tokyo has a very extensive MRT system) you can reach Tokyo Dome via different stations.
-          Jr Chuo-Sobu Line – Suidobashi Station
-           Mita Line (Dark Blue) – Suidobashi Station
-           Marunouchi Line (Red) – Korakuen Station
-          Nambuko Line (Light Blue) – Korakuen Station
-          Oedo Line (Pink) – Kasuga Line

If every fangirls' dream is to watch at the Olympic stadium in Seoul, every artists' dream naman (na nag debut sa Japan) ang makapag perform sa Tokyo Dome. The most coveted concert venue in Japan if you ask me. Its always a challenge getting Japanese concert tickets, hard work and sheer luck needed. And hindi mo pa alam kung saan ang upuan mo since ticketing is always in lottery format. So if okay lang sayo na kahit saan ka nakaupo, as long as your there, I highly recommend that you watch a concert in Japan. Great experience and the stage is always, always amazing! Not to mention the very avid Japanese fans, nicest bunch of concert goers to watch with. :)

2.Kyocera Dome
Kyocera Dome
Location: Osaka, Japan
Seating Capacity:  36, 477
How to get there:  Nearest stations are Dome-mae Chiyozaki Station (Nagahori Tsurumi-Ryokuchi Line/Yellow Line) and Dome-mae Station (Hanshin Namba Line/Orange Line).  But it’s also walking distance from Taisho Station (JR Loop/Red Line) and Kujo Station (Chuo Line/Green Line)

Since I'm a little biased towards Osaka, I like Kyocera more than Tokyo Dome :D I think it has better audio since the roof is concrete compared to the fabric on Tokyo Dome. And much cooler too (especially when you're watching during summers). Its also easier to reach because of the 2 station that is "named" after it.

Pero shempre much as love travelling and watching concerts abroad, its still a different feel watching sa Pinas. :) Andun yung factor na you get to watch the concert with your friends, and most likely, may makikita kang kakilala sa venue. And Philippine fans is one, if not the loudest of all crowds. Though bihira lang mag concert yung mga artists dito, I can say that we also has great venues that could compete with rest of Asia.

PHILIPPINES

1.Smart Araneta Coliseum
Araneta Colisuem
Location:  Quezon City Philippines
Seating Capacity: 16, 500
How to get there: Nearest MRT Station is Araneta Center Cubao Station

With a little repairs and restoration, this place can  easily be transformed back to its original grandeur. It used to be one of its kind in all of Asia. Still, every local artists in the Philippines, pangarap mapuno ang Araneta :) It was designed to have good acoustics and viewpoints. It also has a very good location with the MRT just right beside it.

2.Mall of Asia Arena
Moa Arena
Location: Pasay City Philippines
Seating Capacity:  16,000 (20,000 if full house capacity)
How to get there:  Nearest Station is Taft Station (both for MRT or LRT) From there you can ride a jeep or a cab going to the Mall of Asia grounds.

The best concert venue for me in Manila by far. Right shape, comfortable seats, improved audio (compared before when it was just newly opened), vip boxes, big parking and right next to Mall of Asia and a hotel. I just hope they could improve crowd entry during concerts. I understand the security checks are for the concert goers as well, but I hope they'll find a way to make it faster.

Also, reminder in general:
- not all venues pwede ka mag fancam and mag pasok ng professional camera, Only China countries allow that. For some they allow digicam but for others bawal talaga. Like Korea and Japan.
- please be always be equip wiith google map. Kahit malapit lang ang karamihan sa kanila sa train station, remember na madaming exit ang train stations abroad which can be disorienting
- not all venues allow food inside. So make sure kumain before going to concerts.

I still have a couple of venues I want to watch concerts at. MEIS in Jakarta, cause its right next to the beach (I hope they work out the permit thing so the venue wont need to it close down), Beijing Worker's Stadium, The Bird's Nest, Jamsil Stadium, Saitama Super Arena and of course Nissan Stadium in Yokohama :) Kailangan lang maghanap ng perfect timing para masulit ang pag punta. Hope my blog post will help you (the one reading this) decide kung saan ka na manonood :) So saan na ang destination mo?

Notes:
-Half of the photos on this entry are mine, a quarter I got from official ticketing sites and another quarter from wiki and google photos. I do not wish to steal/take credit for them, so if they belong to you and you want me to take them down, just let me know and I'll remove it  :)
-if you know a much easier and cheaper "how to get there" notes, please comment here so I can update my post :) all of these are base on my experience, and yours might be more convenient.

Of cheating and future boyfriend/s... ;)

Im watching TV earlier and I saw a trailer of a Korean movie on Red. Then I saw this actor na parang familiar looking, then naalala ko, andun sya sa movie na Cheaters. Cheaters is a sexy-comedy movie about 3 couples na di nila alam na they are screwing each other's partners.

1. Choi Siwon
Let it be known na kung mag cheat man ako with Siwon, ako po ang nag initiate :)) Eh kasi naman. Nakita nyo na ba Siwon??( Spazzing about to start, partida di ko pa sya bias nyan). Sya ang perfect definition ng “I’m sexy (and gwapo) and I know it”. As in literal. Siwon is the type na pwede mong iuwi sa magulang mo. He’s a good person and loves his family and his friends/co-members. He works hard and values his job. He is respectful and disciplined, and most of all, fears the Lord and loves God above all. :) Kaya nga inuulit ko, kung magkakasala man kame… I take full responsibility! Hehehe.

2. Kim JaeJoong
Ah… Jaejoong is like fire, you cannot play with him without getting burned! :D Again, he was never my bias but he has the ability to rock my world (and my fandom ranking). Si Jaejoong has the looks of an angel but has the charisma of a devil. Mala devil’s advocate ba. And once you're lured you into his trap... you can never go back. Hahaha! I think yun yung nagpapa-attract sa mga girls sa kanya to begin with. And once you get to know him (naks, parang close lang) you’ll see that there’s more to him than what meets the eye. Sabi nila, sya daw ang pinaka transparent among the Dong Bang Shin Ki boys, I don’t think so, and you just need to get closer for you to find out what the real Jaejoong is made of ;)

3. Lee MinHo
Scenario 1: He will let you go, walk away, then stop, then look at you but says nothing.
Scenario 2: Pinili mo si Boyfriend, and as you walk away, pipigilan ka nya, looks straight to you in the eye, but again says nothing, and yun… sorry again boyfriend.
Hehehe! I enjoy watching him on his dramas kasi Lee Minho has very expressive eyes. Nangungusap ang kanyang mga mata! And I admit, I dunno him that well and Im not a big fan but he has a certain charm na ma-da-draw ka sa kanya. :)

4. Song Joongki
Nakita nyo na ba si Joongki? He’s so adorable!!! He's so playful and game sa kung ano man ipagawa mo sa kanya. He whines and pouts though pag di mo nasunod gusto nya… which makes him look more endearing! And oh one more thing I like about him, he’s a smart boy, he thinks. :))

5. Kim HyunJoong
Tinatanong pa ba yan?? :D Well, big factor in choosing HyunJoong is… the “patol factor”. Sa bibig na nya mismo nanggaling, pag may nagustuhan syang girl, and it happens to be a friend’s girlfriend, he’d still pursue that girl. Oh diba bongga. Sya yung pang you and me against the world na peg. And alam mo he’ll fight for you and di ka nya pababayaan. And he’s responsible and may paninindigan. Oh diba… total package na ;)

Please don’t get me wrong. I do not support cheating (di lang sa love but in any form). I’ve seen many hearts broken and lives ruined because of cheating. Kasi yun, kung maghiwalay may kayo, 2 or at the most 3 lang kayong masasaktan. Eh di kung di ka na masaya, or di mo na mahal, set you and most importantly, set her or him free bago pa kayo magkasakitan. It’s a big no-no.

(beware future boyfriend). At pag di naiwasan at ako naman ang mag cheat, hmmm… sana mapatawad nya ako? :) Or kung hindi man, again, I’ll make sure lang na isa sa kanilang lima listed above yun :D

Got milk?

I think this day deserves a post.

Its the first time... Since I dont know when, that I tried drinking a full glass of milk. Hindi naman extreme kasi I can eat naman other dairy products such as cheese pero pag milk in it's liquid form di talaga kaya. >.<

So totoo lang di ko naman talaga gagawin to kung di ako na-alarm sa result ng bone scan ko. 3 categories kasi sya, normal, osteo..something something (i forgot) and osteoporosis. And sadly, osteoporosis ang result. Sabi nung doctor, doesn't mean naman daw na may sakit na ko, but ill be on the high risk level years from now.

Haaay, so ano pa nga ba ang kailangan gawin, kundi mag take ng calcium at uminom ng gatas. And since di naman na ako bata, kailangan ang higher level of intake. #signsofaging

Well, health is wealth nga diba? So wish me luck para sa mga susunod na araw. At nawa'y mapanindigan ko to! Hwaiting! :)

30 things about me

Sinimulan to ni charmedonepoch sa Twitter :D And since sya din ang nagsabi sa akin na I should write some more, ayan. Some of the things i wrote, sobrang random, na pati ako nagugulat, na ako pala yun! Hahaha.

1. My nickname at home is Ging/Ging-ging. Bakit Ging, di ko din alam :)) But i have an aunt we called Bing-bing and one of my LOla is Ning-ning so yeah, you get the picture :D

2. I love carrots! I can eat raw carrots (as in balatan mo lang, ready to eat na!) And i love carrot cakes :D Pero di ako kumakain ng luto na carrots, wala ng lasa eh!

3. I do not have a green thumb :( You can entrust me with your pets, your possesions, you can even entrust me with your life!

5. Hindi ko na alam ang lasa ng coke, or any softdrinks for that matter. I stopped drinking softdrinks when i was 16.

6.I dont get attached to things easily, but when i do, hirap akong i-let go. Like for a certain shoes or bag, pag gusto ko sya, lagi mo syang makikitang gamit ko.

7. I dunno how to swim, skate or ride a bike >.<

8. Never pa akong nagpahula. (and wala akong balak i-try ;D). Im curios to know ano ako sa past life though.

20.My blood type is AB+.

29. Allergic ako sa perfumes! Most of my friends alam na yan. Pero weird lang talaga :) Iisa lang ang amoy ng perfume for me, pero believe it or not, I can distinguish if you if fake sya or not! (serious)

30. Ako ay fangirl. :) I think it runs in the genes! hehehe! Well, alam nyo naman lahat yun. But for those who dont

Of Domesticity and Chinese CEOs

When Ate Gi and I were in Shanghai, we chance upon a Korean TV show on cable (i forgot the title) about inter-racial marriage. Its mainly about Korean men with foreigner wives, and for that particular episode, the wife is a Filipina. Its showed how they met, fell in love and eventually got married and moved to Korea. The husband is working on a fish farm with his parents. There was a part there that showed the daily routine of the Filipina wife. She wakes up at the crack of dawn, prepares breakfast for her husband then attend to her part time job as a milk vendor, goes back home to clean the house, prepares food for her in-laws, goes to the farm in the afternoon, then goes home to prepare dinner for her husband. Right then, i told Ate Gi.

Me : Ate Gi, parang di ko ata kaya yang trabaho nya...

Hahaha! So earlier, as I was doing household chores, na-realize ko, aba! Unti-unti na ata akong nagiging domesticated! Naks! Then I asked myself, eh what if nga kung pag dating ng takdang araw my future husband would ask me to just stay at home and be a plain housewife, kaya ko kaya? So I listed down all the essentials on my head and I came up with this list.

1. Cooking - uh-oh! Umpisa pa lang tagilid na! Hahaha! I cannot cook to save my life! Well I could probably save mine, but I'm not sure about yours, hehehe! Nah, i can whip up simple dishes naman. And I can fry, boil, sautee and cook rice. The others, matututanan naman yan :D

2. Do the laundry - this one I could do, manual pa kung gusto mo :D But I hope the future husband is capable enough to buy me washing machine, mahirap mag banlaw ng maong!

3. Iron clothes - this I'm good at! :) Wala pa naman ako nasusunog so far. And I follow "order" when ironing clothes, and I can make the perfect "liston" on your pants :D

4. Clean the house - mabagal ako maglinis. Well that's because I'm metikoloso. It will take me one whole day to clean my room, pano pa kaya if buong bahay na. But im not an "eeewwy" person.

5. Wash the dishes - i used to hate this chore. Pero now love ko na sya. Why? Its by far the easiest among them. At sandali mo lang gagawin. As long as my strong water supply and okie na dishwashing liquid, di ako magrereklamo.

6. Doing grocery and paying bills - I dont usually buy ng sobra, laging tama lang, nasasayangan kasi ako pag di nakain tapos masisira lang sa ref. For non-perishable goods though, okie lang mag stock. But I am diligent in paying bills. :)

7. Take care of the kids - eto pa isa kong weakness, ayaw ko ng umiiyak na bata >.< okie ako pag laro laro lang, pero pag umiyak na? Ayaw ko na! :( Well sabi nga nila, di mo masasabi yan until you have your own, hmmm, we'll see :)

So pasado ba ko sa domesticity exam? Hahaha!

Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against being a housewife. In fact I do admire them kasi kaya nilang talikuran ang profession nila para maging isang maybahay. And I have high respect for them kasi di madali ang mag "manage" ng household. I've been living semi-independent for the last couple of years, and it taught me alot, pero wala pa yun sa kalingkingan ng pang araw-araw na ginagawa ng mga housewives. And maybe, the reason why Im not comfortable with the idea of being a plain housewife is because deep inside, I'm afraid that I will not be good at it. Im kinda wishing though that the future husband would not ask me to stop working once we got married. Hehehe!

But hey, who know's, (and ayaw ko naman magsalita ng tapos) for the right man and for the right reasons, I might just consider being one :)

Its time everytime flies!

What a stressful day at the office! >.<  Sabi nga ng seatmate ko “Tuesday lang ba ngayon?” Parang ilang araw na ang dumaan since the weekend!

And since kailangan ko naman “huminga”, I decided to check my email (pahinga bay un?? :) And parang happy pill lang talaga ang travel plans no? Hahaha!

India 2012

And looks like this long time dream will finally come true! Yihee!
At thanks to charmedonepoch Hahaha! I never thought Ill be able to find someone who is willing to go with me. Kyaaaa... so excited to see this beauty  soon! :)

So why do I want to go to India? Well, why not? And no, its not because of Eat, Pray and Love. Since college, when I started to learn about its rich culture, I told myself that I must go in visit the country at least once in my life. Aside from the obvious reason I posted above, Ive always been interseted on the country's history and tradition. For me, its an architect's haven. :) And Im taking it as a challenge that their cuisine is usually spicy and with curry, haha! Good luck to me! :P

And since Im so thrilled with the idea of going (even if its still tentative) I began doing my research! :)) And  I found out that;

- Indian Rupee is almost of same value as Philippine peso. 1 Indian Rupee = 0.97 Philippine peso to be exact.

- Philippine Airlines flies direct to Delhi, though its quite espensive, around 33,000PHP for roundtrip tickets. So its better to go to Singapore or Malaysia first then from there fly direct to Delhi via Air Asia. Manila-Singapore-Delhi roundtrip tickets would cost around 20,000-22,000 Php, and Manila-Malaysia-Delhi roundtrip tickets, 17,000-19,000Php, not bad eh? :)

- The most ideal place to stay in Delhi is referred to as Heart of the City. But of course, accomodations there is a little more expensive. For those travelling on a budget, you can get good 3-star hotel on either Central Delhi or near Delhi Railway Station.

- For a first timer, if you wanna go visit Taj Mahal, I think its best to go with a tour group cause Agra (where Taj Mahal is) is 4-hours away from Delhi. Tour cost is around 3000-5000Php including buffet lunch, transfers and tour guides.

-If you have a day or 2 more to spare, you can also consider visiting the city of Jaipur (its also called Pink City! wehehe, now you know why I wanna go there :D) Its like a combination of the Old and New world, being one of the oldest city yet being one of the major business center now.

- A visit to India requires a visa. Indian embassy is inside Forbes Subdivision in Makati. Application is in the morning, releases, on the afternoon. Visa fee is 2100Php. Requirements are the usual stuff, application form, pictures, return tickets, itinerary and bank statement (optional). Visa processing takes around 2-3 days.

Hmmm.. I think before I go further on this research, I should start with the "basics" first. Like when exactly are going there and the "Indian fund" of course. Hehehe! Well, Its still a long way to go. And yeah, I will not stop on this dream, until I reached it. :)

Its nice to be back :)

Dear Livejournal,

I do not wish to abandon you for the last couple of months. But as I’ve said before, I am a spazzer not a blogger, and since you were created 2 years ago for the sole purpose of spazzing, I’m afraid, i have discovered a new media for spazzing, and fell madly in love with it. It’s called Twitter.

However, I’m not that coldhearted, and just leave you to die a lonely death because you still serve the purpose for my fanfic needs. On the other hand, I will now utilize you for the more “serious” things in life (aka non fandom related). I do not promise to stick to that format, cause Jay Chou getting married or DBSK or SS501 reuniting sure deserves a blog post. But rest assured we will see more of each other again from now on. So please don’t hate me and let’s be friends again. :)

Its sure is nice to be back,

Julie v^-^

Hello LJ friends! I missed you! Hehehe! So what to write on my comeback blog? Hmmmm... How about writing about me?! Wow Julie, how narcissistic.  Well, it’s more like, random stuff about me. (Since someone commented on twitter earlier that i can be random at times). Things that you might not actually see on a regular basis, but in reality make up a big part of who I am. Also, for my own personal use, the idea of writing this occurred to me since I’ve been really forgetful lately. (Nanay says it’s due to lack of sleep and stress) So I think as early as now, I’ll list down stuff, just in case Mr. Alzheimer’s decides to visit me in my old age, at least I have something to read and remember “Me” by. (Now that’s random! Hahaha. I just hope I don’t forget my password).  So let’s start shall we?!

- Aside from Julie Ann, other options for my name were Mary Jane and Joanna Ann. Maybe, my parents thought that they don’t want their daughter to have the same name as the weed, so they scraped Mary Jane.  And Joanna, I think it originated from my Lola’s name which is Juanita, but then, you know how people in the province create weird nicknames from your real name, like Juana or Juaning, so they decided not to use that too. :D Hence, the name Julie Ann.

- I stopped drinking soda when I was fourth year high school, so around 11 years ago (okie, stop doing the math there... I’m turning 28 in June, happy now?! hahaha). It started when my doctor asked to not drink coke for a while because I’m acidic, but, i kind of got used to it afterwards, and so I continued the habit.

- Before Jay Chou and Changmin   and all the other groups and idols came to my life, I used to fangirl Leo de Caprio, The Moffats and Bal David! Wehehe! Seriously, I think I bought all magazines with Leo de Caprio on it. And watched his movies over and over and over. I still love him till now though, but not as much as before. And the Moffats, ahhh! My first mall show. I almost got stampeded at Sm North Edsa just to see them live. Hahaha, I remembered my classmate’s little sister got lost in the crowd and we have to look for her. My classmate was crying and hysterical, while her little sister was enjoying herself in front when we found her. Funny! And Bal David... he was the love of my life then. I’m an Alaska diehard fan, but he was my favorite basketball player. His posters graced the wall of my room all during my high school years. I cannot really remember how i got over him. Hmmm.

- “Healthy” looking as I am, there are a lot of food/dishes that I do not eat. To name a few, there’s curry, nilagang baka, tinolang manok, halo-halo, strawberries, and cucumber. I also don’t drink milk cause my stomach gets queasy when I drink milk, but for other dairy products, I’m okie.

- My favorite subject in school is History.  And I have great interest on things that deals/talks about World War 2. Like the Nazi regime, Pearl Harbor, war movies (Saving Private Ryan, The Thin Red Line), etc.  Anne Frank, Dwight Eisenhower and Adolf Hitler are my favorite people (well, not favorite in that sense for Hitler, but I just love reading about him). I don’t now for what reason, but i have this weird feeling that in my past life, I lived during that era.

- Not to boast or anything but, I took pride on the fact I was a dean's lister in college :). I can say its part "genetic" and part working really hard. I always say my brother is smarter than me, but since he's kinda lazy when it comes to studying, we’re still on equal footing (hehehe). And yeah, I may not look smart, but it at least I know my brain is "ok".

 - I’m allergic to perfumes. For me, all perfumes smell the same. I’m not exaggerating when I say I get sick when I use perfumes because really, I do. Most of my friends and officemates know this so they move away from me when they spray perfume. But for people who don’t know, I just try not to breathe when they do. :D But mild colognes and scented lotion im good.

- I am flat footed :D So it’s either heels or rubber shoes and just recently i discovered, crocs, or ill be tripping all over.  That’s why I still hold on to the hand rails of public stairs even if its unclean just to avoid falling cause I know I don’t have even footing.

- My first love was during 3rd year high school :) He’s my classmate for 4 years. He’s a drummer on one of the bands in school. He’s also a soccer varsity and one of the batch artists. Pretty cool huh?! And oh, the reason why I love the color pink is because it’s his favorite color too. (Pretty lame i know). But its kinda sweet cause when he buys stuff, it’s always in 2, because the other one if for me. :)  Sadly, he’s in love with one of my barkada.  And unless it’s in the movies, you know how unrequited love ends.

- I’m afraid of mirrors. I always think, ill see something I’m not supposed to see there. Hahaha! Paranoid.  That’s why I find it amusing for some people who like to put mirrors in front of their pc when they work. Some of my officemate say they like seeing themselves as they work.

Hmmm... I think that’s about it for now. For my standards, it’s quite long actually.  So, were you surprised to know some of this stuff about me?  :)
